alrite guys (and gals of course)

got a couple of frogs and they great, the amount of times the missus has said "Is it dead?" lol love how they just kinda meditate.

basically was looking at setting up a little/medium sized tank and wonder if anybody has kept both african dwarf frogs and betta's together ? more specifically maybe 4 frogs and 1 male betta ?

thanks :D

absolutely!
just make sure the frogs are in the tank first, that way when the betta is introduced he considers them part of "his" territory.

also, make sure you are dedicated to making sure the frogs get their share of the food - - bettas are little pigs and will gobble up your ADFs bloodworms faster than you can blink

handfeeding them the individual worms is a good way to go....if you are squeamish about having your hands in the tank everyday, you could feed them with a turkey baster, and slowly squirt teeny amounts of food in front of the frog's faces until they have slightly rounded tummies (you don't want to feed so much that they look bloated)

cheers guys defo look into the feeding tongs idea. maybe then she'll smile for the camera

LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE that picture!!! Is that definitely a female? Looks a bit thin (like a male) unless she is very young...

do you know how to sex your frogs? the males have a pimple-looking gland under their arm pits on both side, females do not have this gland, are fatter, and have a small "tail" like bump on their rear ends

Yup, just watch out for the betta and food, as said before. If you don't have time for the tong idea, maybe you could put the betta in a breeding trap and then feed them separate?
