hi :)
i have a 14 inch silver arrowana and i was wondering if he would be compatable with a black arrowana? He already has a few friends in the tank i.e. 2 adult angel fish, a black ghost knife fish etc so he isnt aggressive. what do you reckon???????
thanks jewels

With arowana's it is generally best to keep one or three or more, when kept in pair they tend to fight between themselves. Also how big is the tank? A silver arowana will grow to at least 30 inches and up to 4 feet and blacks dont stay much smaller, to be able to keep three or more (which is the minimum multiple ammount) you are going to need a need a huge tank.

I would definatly say, that unless your tank, is over 500 gallons, then i'd just stick with the the guy you've got.... also I'd keep a close eye on him, as they are notorious for destroying whatever they live with....I've had success keeping them with tiger catfish, tigerfish, pretty much anything that grows larger than a football.
also I've had some full grown arrowanas, that can destroy most glass tank covers, so it might be agood idea to invent in either a back up-screen top, or something even heavier....
