Hey,

A friend of mine wants some shrimp in his tank after seeing mine, he has algae settling on his plants and for that reason also wants some shrimp.

Looking at the size of his fishes mouths i dont think rcs are possible but could he have something bigger?

He has, angels, tetras, gourami, loach and danios

What size tank does your friend have?

Angels need a tank with minimum height of 55cm or 24 inches.

If has Clown loaches, then will a need large tank, 6 feet in length would be minimum i'd suggest, since clown loaches grow to about a foot long.

Angels may munch on tetras if they are neons.

Don't think shrimps, no matter what size will survive in a tank with that kind of fish stocking, unless a large tank with plenty of hiding places and plants.

Agreed with Ch4rlie..
Once these fish grow bigger, your shrimp will be toast.

It's a Fluval 125, its a random assortment of fish and he bought them on advice from a fish shop.

Theres plenty of hiding spaces, he's got all my old wood

i guess the only shrimp you could have would be bamboo shrimp who arent quite algae eaters but he could try japonica shrimp as they are bigger then rcs

Usually the advice from a lfs isn't the best. They can and will tell you anything to make you buy their stock. I think a algae eating fish may be better for his tank.
He could buy a small tank and stock it with shrimp, though.
