Hiya,
I've had Symon, my budgie, since September and always wanted to get him a friend. I wanted to wait for him to get a bit more tame and I knew he wouldn't be bored with the guinea pigs to pester.
Anyway, I started to try and find him a friend recently but I wanted to rehome one rather than buy one from a shop and it took a while to get one. I got a phone call about the new guy last week and he was given to me yesterday. He's about a year and had never been out of his cage (), he lived in an old folks home that's now closed down.
He's a very chilled little guy. He didn't seem at all afraid last night when he got here and was out of his cage within 15 minutes! I came home from the shop to find him in the kitchen! He's been flying all over and has been sitting on me twice. He's not too good at flying and he's a bit fat (through no exercise I imagine) but he's doing grand and they seem to get on well.
To pictures!
Symon is on the left and Dylan on the right.
Oh, they have a cage each (Dyl came with one) which were on opposite sides of the room but Dylan slept on top of Symon's cage last night so I have now put them side by side.
