Freshwater Stingray

I believe 55 gallons is 250ltrs.
However it does not really matter how much water your tank holds.
It depends on the size of the foot print.
You want it to be atleast 5ft long IMO.
and you want it 2-3ft wide? I could be wrong on that one though.
So whats your measurements of the tank?

really? at the pet store they had one in a little 30 gal at max?

not true what so ever, i'm a person who tends to be more realistic about minimum tank sizes, for example i believe a silver arowana will be happy in an 8ft tank where as some like to think 12ft and upwards is more suitable. Think about it logicaly, the smallest species still reach 12" in diameter and a tail lenght of no less that 8".

Maybe they do have a small pup in a small tank like that, but what you have to remember is thats only going to be very short term maybe a month, 2 months max before it would be sold.
In that time it will out grow that small tank so if it wasnt sold it would need a ank upgrade.
