Freshwater Puffer Fish. Hmm..

I stopped by my LFS to do some browsing. I came across a tank filled with little smooth green fish with small black dot on them. I asked the guy there if it was a puffer fish. He said yes, it's a freshwater Puffer fish that will grow to be about 2 inches. I thought Puffer fish were saltwater only. Is there any truth to this?

Yup they are true puffer fish, not another fih called after them. They live in fresh water and yes they are puffer fishes. Theres different types of fw puffers.
