im curious too..i always find them on the beach at the lake i live by...about 1 inch long. dont they filter feed??

Yes they do, and they are virtually impossible to keep alive in home aquaria because they tend to starve to death.

Yeah, i heard that as well. They find it hard to feed, so some add some kind of liquid to help. Also they only do best on really good, clean, with the best water quality!

They can be used to clear up green water, but have a very poor survival rate in aquaria.
