Anyone know anything about these creatures?
I bought some on eBay a year ago, and added them to a mature tank containing trumpet snails and some cherry shrimps. They were about 2 inches long, yellow, with hundreds of legs, and instantly vanished into the gravel. I have not seen the adults since then, but there are now several one inch juveniles visible against the glass in the gravel at the front of the tank. (I once spotted a ½ inch long specimen swimming freely in the tank, but the rest seem happy to remain in the gravel.)
The shrimps and snails double in numbers every few months, and there is no noticeable predation, so I think these worms probably feed only on the tank's under-gravel detritus.
I would appreciate any information or thoughts on this subject...
