:dunno: I heard that freeze dried foods are not entirely good for a betta. Is it freeze dried worms in specific or just any item that is freeze dried?

Freeze dried food can cause constipation and not very nutritious. I used freezed dired bloodworms and FD brine shrimp but I changed them to frozen ones. It's so much more better, nutritious and my betta doesn't have constipation since. If I were you I would use the frozen foods.

Oh, I was just wondering. I give my bettas frozen food and Hikari betta balls. So, it does give them some sort of constipation? Does flake food do it too?

Leigh Ann,

Wuv or BKK probably know more about this than I do, but I'll tell you what I've learned . . .

Pros:
1. Freeze drying kills off any parasites.
2. It's cheap!

Cons:
1. Freeze dried foods have less vitamins than live and frozen.
2. I've been told that it can cause swim bladder . . . :dunno:

Wish I had more info for you. I'm sure some knowledgeable TFF member will be able to add more. :D

Well, RYKitty, thanks a lot for all the information you provided :)

I really appreciate it!
