Age and condition: Don't know age as came with set up from shop but would think about 2 years old going on size. Great condition.
Quantity for sale: 2
Reason for Sale: Outgrown tank
Delivery or Collection: Collection only
Sales price: Free
Postage & Packaging: N/A
Location: Portsmouth

This is a very sad rehoming as these two guys (or gals as I really dont know!) are real characters but I know they have outgrown the tank now and should never have been in there in the first place (it was a complete set up bought from a shop).
I dont want any money for these fish if I can be assured a really good home and that they wont be sold on however if you have a couple of platties, guppies, mollies or any community live bearers (except barbs!) that you dont want I would love to do a swap as I dont want the tank empty for too long.
Collection only from our home just outside of Portsmouth so be prepared to bag and catch yourself!
Thanks
Sarah

Forgot to say one is about 7" and the other slightly smaller!

Sarah, do your barbs have a black stripe on each half of their tail fin, along the outer edge?

Apparently two species are sold under the common name "Tinfoil Barb," with the larger species (Barbonymus schwanenfeldii) having the black stripe and potentially reaching ~14", while B. altus reach ~8".

The outer edge of each tail fin is slightly darker than the orangey centre but not sure its a black stripe as such.
We saw what looked like identical fish in a local shop (on display, not for sale) and one of them was HUGE! I would say about 14" so they may well be the same fish so even more reason why I have to sadly rehome them.

Meant to say. Even at 8" and now really they are too big for my tank!(
