Fragging Green Clove Polyps

I have a green clove polyp (clavularia) in my tank. It has started to spread over another one of the rocks it is placed near and i was wondering if anyone has fragged this coral and how they went about it.

Can i just cut the stalk that joins the few new polyps on the rock to the main colony ?

Try to get around the stalks and into the carpet if there is one, then try to peel it off of the rock.

 

[Adrinal]

clean razorblade.
superglue gel.
bucket of rinse water.
towel to dry off the underside of the coral's matt.
