SET UP:
Two goldfish one 5yr & one tidler
125 liters tank
Bluewave filter new
Eheim 2008 old filter transfered same media
Fluval plus1 old filter transfered same media
Interpet IPF4 new
New and old gravel mixed
Bog wood Two pieces
Plants showing signs of brown tip rot, but they were to help with nitrate which they are doing there job.
Well I've got things stable, but still waiting for two more weeks of full cycling the tank
I've been testing various new products mainly bio gel balls and API safe start.
I'm impressed with safe start so so far Bio balls are slow working and best for established tanks I think helps alot with Ammonia.
My results are bellow and still testing... There was a moment where the tank spiked.
Once this is all cycled correctly I'll be buying an external canister to replace all the internal filters except the interpet duo4 which is far the best filter ever made!
Questions PH rose, but I think I added more mature gravel in which could have had tiny bits of coral plus bog wood is the PH @8 okay or should I buffer?
Any advice will be appreciated!
