Just did my weekly clean up and saw my shrim( red cherry ) with a clutch of eggs, what do I do with them to stop them being eaten? Can I just scoop them up and put them in a net, how long before they hatch... Only had them for a week so total newbie.

Could try putting them in a net. They'll be born as miniture versions of the adults and any fish that can fit them in their mouth will. A clump of moss or other dense plant will make a good home for them. Mine always seem to survive just fine without any intervention. Biggest remover of shrimp in my tanks seems to be the filters even though I have sponges on the intakes or the intakes covered by a tight some still find their way into the media bay and get returned to the tank during the filter cleaning.
