I found my rocks at my nana's house, and at the lake. I first checked them with vinegar, and they all are ok. Then I washed them off with water. I just put them on the stove to boil. How long do they have to boil? There are three rocks, and they are in a big pot.

10 mins should be ample.
just remember they will stay hot for a long time.
let them air cool as immersing in cold water could have explosive consequences

I didn't know you were supposed to boil them.... I just put mine in really hot water with bleach.... and let 'em soak.

I'd drain the water off and place them on a cooling try (use oven gloves) and leave over night
they should be, excuse the term, stone cold in the morning

That way is okay also, as long as you give em' a good rinse after.

I've never heard of the hot water and bleach way. But sounds just as good as boiling. :good:

I have now boiled each of the rocks. They are now sitting on a cooling tray. They soon will be "stone cold"! :)
