We found what looks like a slug in our tank,
it looks exactly like a turbo snail without the shell aprox 1.5 cm in length , i`ll try and get some pics if it ever comes out from the LR again

Any ideas what it is?

that was a leach i`m pretty sure, but this is exactly like a turbo snail except without the shell

thats wierd i found one this morning in my tank aswell looks exactly like a tiny turbo snail but no shell :S

Any coloration to the soft body? Could be any number of sea cucumber, nudibranch, or other invertebrate. Is its soft body smooth, striated, bumpy, spikey? Does it have an obvious scraping mandibles/teeth like a turbo, or does it seem to lack any and all mouth?

I had a little slug-type-thing appear out of my live rock the other day. It liked to be on the water level.. not above it or below.. just on it! It was pink in body colour and perfectly clear sluggy-thing (their bottom area)
I was fascinated watching it! However, Mr. Puff didn't like this so in a turn to get attention swarm up to it and ate it right in front of me :X

The one in my tank as got a black kind of lump on its back other than that it looks completely like a turbo snail lol

Huh, there's thousands if not tens of thousands of species of sea slug and nudibranch. Without a good pic and/or description its tough to ID them :/. Some are more common than others. As a general rule of thumb, sea slugs/cucumbers tend to have uniform patterns down the length of their bodies while nudibranchs tend to have individual spots or structures on their tails. Also sea slugs/cucumbers tend to have more varied diets than nudibranchs.

It has a mouth just like a turbo snails and antena,
there was a slight gret mottling around the edges of the slug getting darker to the middle of its back no uniform pattern.
The Mrs thought one of the snails had lost its shell, thats how much like a turbo it looks

If it has a clearly defined mouth with mandibles, then its way more likely a sea slug. Nudi's tend to not have mouths, they digest with direct enzymes ;)

Looking at the mouth it was definately an alge grazer so not to fussed too much about wther its dangerous at the moment, havent seen it again
