i have a small aptasia problem but its all gone know. :hyper: all i did was squeeze a lemmon in a glass. then get a siringe with no neadle on it and suck as much as you can. find some aptasia and then spray the lemmon juice at them untill they have gone in there hole. keep spraying them. if they are small then they die in just 2ml of juice. i only have 1 shrimp some hermits and some snails. is this ok? would the juice afect them?

I have heard of others doing this before with varying degrees of success, Not harmful from what I know.

This is a classic 'home remedy' to kill aiptasia. Been around for a long time. It is safe. SH :good:

I buried mine under the substrate. 3 months later all gone and 12 months on no new stuff.

it is a good way but doesnt kill the spores they release when threatened which compounds the problem by 30x+

a soldering iron with the piece of affected rock out of water for a few seconds is a good way, or aiptasia X by red sea is also a good method i have tested. you "feed" the solution to the aip which ingests it and you also cover the whole of its mouth area the solution has a reaction to salt water and solidifys the aipi dies and so does it spawn
