hi, i have a brand new 2x36watt T5 compact starter made by interpet,

im after £20 + £5 postage as is quite heavy.

maybe a daft question. does this supply light to two tubes so I could use it for two tanks that are sat on top of each other in a stand? If so I'll have them as long as they will power two 30 inch tubes?

Nothing stopping you from using the tubes on different tanks ! Be aware however, if the unit is "electronic" as oppsed to "magnetic" you cannot switch the lamps independantly... its either both ON or both OFF

The compact starter takes the double joined tube, so no good for two separate tanks. According to the interpet catalogue, the tube length for 36W is 16".
