they grow large and need to be in groups of 6+.

That's only 50 gallons! You need a good 90 gallons for a group!

As previously stated, clowns need to be kept in groups of 6+ and this many would outgrow a 50g tank within the first year. It wouldn't be a problem if you plan to upgrade by then?
