hey could you please help me im going to try and send some bettas by mail i know how to pack them etc etc.... but do you know if the UK post office will take live fish?
if not do you know any places that will?

I post all mine by post special delivery, guaranteed next day, they don't Carrie live animals so just don't tell them, i have a joke with my local post office as i put fragile glass contains liquid she ask me what it was and i said a fish in a tank...she dint believe me and said we don't Carrie livestock i said thats why i told you it was a fish as you don't but i just need it posting, she just laughed, well its not a tank just the bags shall be posting some in a while about half an hour, so she always says now more fish i just say yep.......at the end of the day they just need to take your money for the posting not what is the contents of the package, she asked one day thats why i told her fish in a tank, as they will ask the value of the contents, so just give them a figure as long as its wrapped well then it should be all ok....poly box double bagged wrapped with news paper and sealed with wrapping paper and a string handle for them to Carry them that easy ........ :p
 
hey bettaman can i ask u one more question about posting bettas.
how do you pack the fish in the box with out being able to feel the water move about im worryed that my post office might feel it and wont take them.
i only fill the bag 20% of water as it said to on the net and the rest with air.
 
Tells them they are homemade cooking herb oil saute with fish. LOL :lol:
 
20% with water. What kind of bags to you gents use. What we use here are 4"x12" ice bags. 20% water is how many inches of water? :D

Just don't worry there is no reason why they should not take them i put fragile glass contains liquid on the box just tell them is Christmas snow bell or something as you sending out samples for big orders at Christmas time....... or its aquarium plant and there is water to keep them moist and fresh :rofl:
