thinking of getting one of these in black and was just wondering about the filter coming through the bottom.
do you have to use it like that?
can they be removed? if not what are they like for planted tanks?
also where is the cheapest place to buy one?

any general comments?

Its comes with a fluval 205/305? i think

It dont exaclty come through the bottom of the tank,
the filter is ubder the tank in the cabinet the pipes run behind the back and in through the top

Try seapets here is the link

The Fluval Vicenza 180 has holes drilled through its base for the in and outlet pipes to the filter so yes you will have to use them... It comes with the 205 filter but it never hurts to pay a little extra for an upgrade!

Just as a warning  Hagen as stopping making their black cabinets!! The have their new black and zebrano (poo brown) cabinets instead  the black cabinets are the best looking! If ya want one, dont hang about...

They still make very good planted tanks, i think they might have T5 lighting but i might be thinking of the corner tanks...
