Fluval UVC inline clarifier

There was a recent number of posts in a Facebook aquarium page, about the above, and nearly everybody who commented said it was useless, I purchased one, and it's been running for a week, I suppose its early days, but I can see no difference in my tank, its set to run 6 hours per day.
Any opinions.

I have the FX Fluval UVC clarifier, which is a little bigger than yours. It has no timer, so it runs 24/7. I notice a difference using a UV sterilizer. I notice that my aquarium water is clearer using a UV sterilizer, which has always been on my display tanks for years.
