fluval surface skimmer.

has any one ever tried a fluval surface skimmer or know someone who has, on a tropical tank. ???
if so what were the results good or bad???

I have 2 of them actually. Since I seem to have a problem with a surface film on my water (it's a tap water problem, even forms a film if I just leave a pot of water standing for a few days) I run a pair of Fluval 304s on my 75 gallon tank and use surface skimmers on both of them. They work great. I don't hav any problem with the film on that tank. They also seem to help draw in any floating leaves from plants after I prune them. They stick to the side of the skimmer and all I have to do is lift them out.

I have this one. I think this is where I got it from too but it may have been from Big Al's online.
