Fluval Provac help

Hi is there anyone with a Fluval provac that can help me, I only seem to get one speed but the instructions say there is a Hi and Low speed but I can't work out how to change the speed, so I am eing a bit thick or have bought a faulty one. Thanks

Is it a filter or gravel cleaner?
