I'm heavily leaning towards the 48" Fluval plant 3.0.
(59w, 4250lm, 6500k) for my 90g tank once I get it ready for setup.
My question is, how high can I hang this light from the water surface and still have enough light penetration for plants that will reside in or near the substrate?
I know that there are a lot of variables to my question in regards to which plant types I will be growing.
The types of plants that I am most interested in will be of the easy care varieties such as;
Amazon Sword
Cryptocoryne wendtii
Bacopa caroliniana

Vallisneria
Java moss
Java ferns
Dwarf Sagittaria and
Tiger lily

I'm sure that some of the more experienced folks here will have other questions for me that I am not thinking about in which case is most welcomed.
Thanks in advance for any and all advice.

idk much about plants but i know this

Amazon Sword likes low light
Cryptocoryne wendtii likes high light
Bacopa caroliniana likes high light

Vallisneria idk
Java moss fine with anything i think
Java ferns low light
Dwarf Sagittaria and idk
Tiger lily probably high light

Please keep in mind, the question is,
How high can I hang the light from the water surface and still have enough light penetration to the bottom dwelling plants?

Thanks for your response @Sgooosh. But I am already aware of the light needs for the plants.

Sorry i did not read it clearly lol

There is no pics to take yet lol.
I have to dismantle my saltwater reef tank first before setting it back up as freshwater. I'm just doing my research now and asking questions a they arise.

with lights, i would hang it as low as i can to get as much light
but once you set up a photo can help because of substrate levels and such :)
