I've recently purchased a Fluval Fx5 for a P.demasoni species tank I'm setting up. I'm curious as to what others have put in theirs in the way of media. I plan to use the sponges that came with it and will also have 2 internal pumps with pre-filters for a UGJ (undergravel jet) systems I'm setting up so I think I'll be good on mechanical. I'd like to fill the 3 baskets with bio and prefilter media.
My thoughts were 1 basket with Ehfimech and 2 with Ehfisubstrat Pro. My questions are approximately how much does each basket hold and does anyone know if the Ehfisubstrat is small enough that it will need to be put in mesh of some sort?
