Just set up a new 100G tank, with a new fx5 and transferd all my stock from a 30G into it,
about a month ago i started running a hydor prim 10 canister on the 30 to supply some bio material to seed the FX5(have plased this in the middle of the 3 baskets, with the top(macanical) and the bottom(bio-max) both been virgin material,
any sugestions on how long befor the fx5 will be upto speed?

oops befor anyone comments, i did transfer the canister i used for the 30G onto the 100G but the filter is resting on a box in front of the tank and the pipes are snaking in threw the wedged open lid, definitly spoiils the look of the tank! hehe

do you have fish in the tank with the seeded filter?

You have to transfer fish at the same time of the bacteria will have nothing to live on and will die...
