Fluval Chi Led Lights

I have a 5g Fluval chi and the lights have gone out. i want to replace them, and got in contact with the manufacturers who will replace them for $70. i could buy a new tank for that much! i cant even explain how frustrated i am with them. So im thinking some of you wonderful people here could help me out

Are they not still in warranty over there? Or does the shop offer a warranty? Not sure on consumer law over there but in the UK you'd get a replacement.

My boyfriend bought the tank for me and threw out the receipt, so they wont just replace them. they said i could mail it to them ($$$) and hope that they replace them. They are under warranty technically but i have no proof D:

Did you pay cash or card?

if you paid card,t hen you should ahve a record on your bank statement (to at least show when you spent that ammount of money at that store).

Well, funny you should say that. because he bought a gift card with his debit card, then bought the tank and some other stuff and gave me the gift card with money left on it with the gift. so thats a no go too hes made this pretty difficult lol
