Fluval Aquastop

If the silver bit won't budge, is there a trick to it, or just buy a new Aquastop?
Taken the taps out the canister and the silver lever that locks the taps back in won't move down, can't work out if something I'm doing wrong or it's given up the ghost!

Ummm just trying to picture it in my head. There are normally 2 levers. One that shuts the flow on and off and one that locks the pipe in place. Normally on the ones I have seen one of these levers will lock the other in place so it might just be something like that (i.e. lift one lever to release another). Cant picture exactly how they fit together at the moment (been used since I used one).

Yep the silver one locks it into place and that's the one that won't move, the black one won't move unless the silver one will, so am a bit concerned about forcing it

Try just wiggling the black one about a bit while pulling on the silver one. Could have just got stuck in there.
