Equipment: Fluval 406 external filter
Age/condition: 1year old / used
Quantity for sale: 1
Reason for sale: bought a new fx5, so it is surplus to requirements
Delivery or collection. Would prefer collection
Sales price: looking for around £60-70 (open to 'sensible' offers)
Postage and packaging: willing to send via royal mail or parcelforce in orginal box for an additional £15
Locatin: Warrington, Cheshire. WA5 8WN.
I have for sale a used Fluval 406 external filter. It is in good condition and runs perfectly. It comes with the original box and instruction manual. It also includes the 2 rim connectors that help keep the hoses in place. Unfortunately this does NOT come with any filter media supplied. Also, I do not have the clamps with the suckers to hold the strainer in place but these are pretty cheap and can be bought at you LFS or online.
See Image 1 (below):
I will mention that the red clamp that attaches the hose unit into place has become a little temperamental when pushing down into position and seems a little flappy but this doesn't affect performance. As you can see in the first photograph, the white flow rate lever sits directly above it, so the red clamp below cannot physically flick up and open by itself as the flow leaver wouldn't allow it. Anyway, this is just something I've noticed over time and it hasn't caused me any problems... Just a heads up really.
Anyway, I've checked the filter numerous times for leaks etc and it is performing exactly the same as the first day i had it.
