Fluval 404

I recently got the opportunity to get a fluval 404 canister for 40$ new and unopened. To go into my 90G. I just wanted to know everyones opinions on this filter either way im going to get it because the price is extremely cheap.

Oh and im loving all of these deals i am coming across...

90G tank with penguin 330 - FREE
Stand for 90G - 10$
Fluval 404 - 40$

Started the whole thing with a 50$ investment!

It cant get any better than that!

I have a fluval 203, an old, slightly smaller model of the fluval models, allthough it is old, it is very reliable, hasnt broken down once, can be noisy + overall good value for money. The 404 will probaly be just as good or better
EDIT: Where on earth did you get a tank that cheap?

Sadly the above poster has been lucky. The x04 series of Fluval has a reputation amongst a number of these boards (myself included) for leaking and failing and generally being a crap filter. If you can find one, grab a second hand eheim. It will serve you far better and will last a lot longer than the average fluval.

I will keep that in mind...I just cant see passing up a Brandnew canister for 40$... and continue searching
