Fluval 404 Or Rena Xp 2

Going to buy a new filter and wondered what you guys would buy rena xp2 or the fluval 404 (the fluval is 10 buck more)

I would go with the XP3. The XP3 was more compatible with the Fluval 404.

the 404 and the xp2 are not in the same size range...

I personally would go with the rena now (just got a 2nd hand xp3) we've always had fluval - but the plumbing on the renas looks loads easier and more adaptable (it all clips together wonce you in the tank to suit how you wnat the flow and how long you want the spraybar etc.

havent had it running yet though so it might be noisy as hell

Personally I'd go for the Fluval. I've always used Fluval and I tend to stick to what I know. Did you Know the Fluval 05 range is out?
