Fluval 306 Filter

Hi just bought a fluval 306.it was so easy to set up and start.i have looked around for maintinance advice and there is not mutch.i see you clean the filter every month.

what i was wondering was how often do you change the carbon.

how often do yo change the white foam under the carbon.

how often do you change the black foam that sits on the bottom of the filter.

and how often do you change the big white foam that goes down the left hand side.

Remove as not much use, normally replaced with fine wool

Untill they fall apart normally a clean in used tank water does the trick

how often do you change the black foam that sits on the bottom of the filter.
Same as above

and how often do you change the big white foam that goes down the left hand side.
Never change just clean

Thanks nick i have just bought some fine wool off ebay.100g bag is that enough or will i need two.will fit it when i clean the filter.

100g sould see you,
I replace the wool after three months when theres more crap then wool
Youll have to cut it to fit the tray ( three layers would be enough per tray)
