Fluval 303

Anyone got experience with the Fluval 303. I know its an older model but I found a pretty good price for new ones and I was wondering how they compare to the 04 line. If they are close it may be well worth going with an older model

IMO I would pay the extra for the '04 model, as they have larger capacity (i think lol) but more importantly they have a self primer and a very easy quick release mechanism for the hoses, much more convinient

I payed £60 for my 304 brand new which I was pleased with

what price are the 303's goin for?

Stix, the price the guys offering at is 37.95 USD or 23.73 for GBP. Not really all that bad a deal but I seen that and thought HMMMMMMM but since you feel its better to go with the 04 line then thats good enough for me.

Also seen the Via Aqua 750 canister filter for around 60.00 USD and the seller says that they are compareable to the fluval 404 but we all know how these sellers get at times

Just looked up the via aqua as it is a new one to me, and it seems ok, better than the 303, but I would still prefer the 304, but of corse its up to u!
