Fluval 205 Canister Filter

I've just purchased a Fluval 205 Canister Filter yesterday. I was reading through the instructions for maintenance - all it says is to clean and replace the media when necessary.

Just wondered how ofter the media should be rinsed in tank water and replaced. I have 2 other tanks which contain Juwel filters and replace the media in them at set intervals.

The Fluval 205 canister filter contains 4 fluval foams, 2 carbon polybags and 2 media baskets full of biofilters (prefilters).

Any advice would be much appreciated, thanks.

I change mine when the flow isnt very good.

Obviously carbon requires changing as its activated and wheres off. 3-4 weeks I think it is.
