Hey people. Do you think i should use a Fluval 2 or 1 (internal - plus) to filter a 10 gallon tank...

The fluval 2 has a GPH of 105, while the 1 has a 50 GPH. IMHO go for the 2. Is there any particular reason as to why you are using an inernal filter? Internals can be easily replaced by HOB's (hang on back filters). They provide better filtration, lots more oxygen exchange, and are cheaper.

If Quys is in the UK - hob filters aren't easy to come by and are not well supported at all (for some weird reason).

A Fluval 2 should be fine, though might be a bit too strong, so make sure you direct the outflow to create a nice current for the fish.

Since Im not in the UK I dont really know much about availability of products and such. Are they easily found through internet/catalog orders in the UK?

Again - not really. And any parts or support if something goes wrong would be hard to find.

I have just purchased one of these little suckers to use in a new 75l tank. I haven't used it yet but it looks fairly large. I just hope that it's not too much of a distraction from the fish when you look at the tank.

Has anyone had experience with these little internal filters? Are they an ok option for those of us with out the dollars to spend on larger external filters? I know I should have researched a little better before buying but it came as part of a package.

Would it be a better idea to try and sell it on eBay and get a HOB filter like AMS has suggested?

From using other internal filters, you can just hide it behind a large rock or plant.

Thanks for the info people!
