A while back I used a fluid pump to help with my water changes (in didn't go well)
And I have just discovered it had a synthetic grease in it.
Will this grease effect my fish (probably I'm guessing)
They look fine as I haven't used it for quite a while but just wanted some second opinions on Wether I should do a big water change or not.

The pump hasn't been used for at least 3-4 months.

This may sound stupid but I thought I would enquire :)

Silicone grease is fine. Depends what you mean by synthetic.

I'm not sure what type of grease it is

It's got the consistency of Vaseline it looks like Vaseline but doesn't smell like it.

If its been 3-4 months, I seriously doubt you have anything to worry about.

Would I be able to use the fluid transfer pump or is it best to steer clear?

If it was me I would steer clear. Better safe than sorry as they say
