Hi

I went to check on my fish in the tank last night and my female blue mickey mouse platy has got fluffy substance above her left eye, the corner of her mouth and little bit on her pectorial fin

Cant distingish between fungus or white spot (ich)

I put in King British Fungus & Fin Rot Treatment in last night before i went to bed. It doesnt seem tooo bad this morning it is still there but does look too fluffy this morning & she is still eating her morning flake feed.

I need to move fast on this one as she is pregnant and don't want to lose her and her unborn babies.

Bigfish needs a little advice.

IM NOT HAVING MUCH LUCK WITH MY TROPICALS!!

sorry to hear that big fish,

I would say it is propably fingus and you are headed the right way. Ich looks like little salt crystals not puffy white stuff, can you post a picture? I would continue with the fungal treatment.

If you will listen to me on this one you wont have to use any medicine Bigfish where it is a platy you can dip in in a salt mix I always made me up a gallon jug mixture and poured me some in a quart jar and put my mollies in it and the spots was gone the next day, just try it where the platy is a liveberer it wont hurt the fish the salt will do it good ask william or CM either one or mabey les salt is the best medicine that you can use if the fish has scales.

Cheers tanked & fish keeper sharks & mollies., i've continued my treatment of fungal treatment and seems to be better every day. How long do i have to keep the treatment going for?

what kind of treatment are you using i would go by what ever it says even though they are no apperence of any fungus doesnt mean that it is well.

it says continue treatment every 24 hours while symptoms persist then following by a recommended a 10% approx water change. Shall i continue treatment until fluffy stuff has gone?
