Flowerpot Coral

does anyone know how you tell when a flowerpot coral is dead?I have had one for a few months and it has been declining to the point where most of it is white and it hardly peeks out at all anymore i don't know it i should continue to have hope or take it out before it contaminates my tank or something ...if anyone knows please help................

Do you happen to know the species name? Flowerpot coral is used internationally for different species, so I dont know which coral your talking about.

Tubastrea?
or Duncanopsammia sp.
