OK well tonight i just picked up this flowerhorn from the lfs, i got him for 10 dallos cuz he jumped in to the perana tank, and now his back fin is gone. Besides that he or she is beautiful. I was woundering if you could tell me what kind it is and sry bout the pics they sux will get better ones later. If you cant tell by the pics he has alot of a goldish yellow and even a green color to him with a kinda redish in the back. If you need better pics let me know.

Looks like a ZZ(pearl)which is the most common type.Looks to be female too.Hope it recovers.

i never realized that there are so many and they all are beautiful looking fish. I really hope she is very colorful. Thanks again for all your help. I will update when she starts doing better

ZZ's dont get hugely colourful but it im sure it will turn out to be a nice fish.Now that its not stressed I would say it might even be male.Nice Nic btw!!

looks like a pretty nice golden faced pearly red dragon.. take good care of it.. color will improve.. looks way better than first posted and also .. very nice for 10bux..heheh

sex wise.. i would go for male.. it has a nice flowerline with some pearls.

doesnt look bad at all about his injury, i would say in less than a month.. his finnages will all be back.. take good care..and keep us updated

i could show you what it may look like. but not two Fh is the same..

they are unique in there own ways, class, quality and genetic codings..

for you could have a fish that looks almost alike when small but when raised.. both more likely will look different from each other due to the type of treatment and dna coding it recieves..thats why i stated... if you know more about them.. then you could take better care of them, and when you do this..they will reward you in way that other type of fish cant..

dont worry bout how it may look.. just lets see what you could do with him.. but then if you insist.. there are many forums and site to look at.. for instance.. my sig..

Thanks man you have been alot of help. I am trying my best to care for them well. I am feeding them spectrum, hikari gold, and brime shrimp. I this a good combo anything else i should try.

keep it up.. just keep the water maintained.. zz are pretty hardy unlike kamfas are very sensitive..

one thing is .. dont feed em live feeders.. for they could be very harmful to your Fh immune system..
