about a few weeks ago my flowerhoen lay eggs but some of them got eaten by the other fish so i moved them. After about a few days they hatched and there was still a bunch of them and soon after a few days they started to swim and now eating i'v notice that my flowerhorn kept moving the gravel even tho the fry were swimming? when i woke up this morning i usually check how the fry and parents are doing until i saw MORE eggs? WTF!?
i was confused there were on the floor and more on the rocks and i have no clue what i'm going to do with all these fry's everywhere and if the parents are going to eat the original fry but right now when the fry's go too close the the eggs the parent's grab them and usually spit them out.....
and yea so there anything i could do or any tips? it's hard enough doing water changes when you might suck them up. i would of took a pic
but i dont have my camera with me but soon...

p.s when is it a good time to separate the parents from the fry's?

In a situation like what you're in, you can take the fry anytime after they're free swimming.

I adgree with gator. I have a breeding couple of FH one Red Dragon and the male is a golden based Blue Dragon. They will lay about 300 to 500 eggs every 2-3 weeks. Deffentally remove them once they are free swimming or the parrents will eat the only if they are new to having babies. Once they get the hang of it they will take care of them by themselves. Good luck bro
