can i keep more than one flowerhorn in 150 gal tank .or any other fish say ciclid even if i grow them up together will they still fight . also do u have any info on how big flower horns get . thanks in advanced. :)

ive seen flowerhorns that were like a foot long... big fat lookin bugger... donno if u could keep anything else... maybe if they grow at same rate theyd leave each other alone... i saw the flowerhorn in with a green terror at the store... same size in a 20 gallon tank.. way 2 small for them but 150 gallons might be ok

Flowerhorns are hybrids, not cichlids.

Welll.. A hybrid from cichlids is still kind of a cichlid...

I think more then one in a 150 would be ok, but these things can be insanely aggressive, and if you just go with two then one will very likely kill the other, so you may need to go with either just one or several. This is just speculation based on what I know about other cichlids - I have never kept these fish.

That's like saying someone who's parents are irish and scottish and german and french (mine) is not french? I'm a hybrid?
I still consider myself french because I grew up in a french speaking household. I may be a hybrid, but most french canadian is my nationality.
I know there's lots of controversy with hybridizing cichlids and I don't blame the controversy at all. But... you gotta admit, flowerhorns are more cichlid than anything else even if it HAS been bred and bred and bred to be produced.

I agree with CFC they are not cichlids... they may have the genes of a cichlid but they were never bred. they are nothing more than test tube babies

but in a word NO they get too big and they are way too aggressive. I have never heard of one that is placid.
