Flow Adjuster On Fluval 4 Plus

Sitting there looking at my tank and the other half starts asking questions about the flow of the filter. It's rated at 1000lph. I currently have it set about half way. So my questions is, does the flow adjuster also affect the turn over of the filter or not?

yes cos it restricts the amount of water moving through it. This isn't necesarily a bad thing. as the water is in contact with the bacteria in the filter for longer. I shouldn't worry about it.
