I bought a couple weather loaches from the pet shop over a week ago. 1 of them is fine, the other floats in the water and lets the current carry him around. He lets his body hang down about 3 inches in the water and kinda hunches over. He is able to swim because I thought he was dead on several occasions and when I went to pick him out of the water he swam off, but after a few minutes he would be back to floating up top. He does eat, and will swim to the bottom of the tank off and on to eat.

He doesn't seem to be missing any fins, and they all seem to work, but when he swims it looks like he has problems. I don't really mind him floating around, but I feel kinda bad for him cause sometimes the current pushes him into the glass, none of my other fish bother him. Is this a known disease or anything, or is it possible something might just be broken?

Ammonia nitrites are 0, none of my other fish have a problem like this

he is still floating. I don't think he has the bladder thing, he looks like he is kinda bent funny. If you extended your pointer finger and then bent it at the first knuckle, that would give youan idea of what he looks like. He has found a spot in my tank to lay around now. He still floats a bit but he acts ok, just kinda weird looking. Makes me wonder if he got hurt during shipping or somthing

I was about to say... when I read your last sentence. It sounds to me like he has taken a knock. Could be he'll recover. As always, keep your water optimum to give his own system the best chance to repair itself.

That would be my guess.
