Floating Snail

ok so i have had him for a week or two and i just came in here and seen him floating do they do this or is he dead i know that might be a dumb ? but plz help my other one if fine

how long is it been floating because my apple snails love air bubble and float now and then, but only for about 2 mins but some people have their snails floating for ages don't get rid of it yet, normally when there dead their on the floor hanging out of its shell or still inside but either way they will stink thats one of the ways to tell if a snail is dead. another way is if the snail is hanging out, a bit then poke it and he should close back in if he's still alive.

well i went back in a few mins after i posted this and he was on the side of the tank. i went back in a hour ago and hes back floating and just went back in there and he is still doing the floating act

he is bck to the bottom moveing around i guess thats just him i dont know he looks to be ok

good it was properly just had to many air bubbles in his shell.

I probably wouldn't worry too much. Every snail I ever kept would do the same thing. Some more than others.
If he's eating and doing other normal (lol) snail stuff he's prolly fine.

thanks guys and gals he is fine he must just like doing that i watched him go up the sida of the tank and jump off and float around for a min and then sink to the bottom. i was like this is funny so i sat there for like 1 hour and watched him it was great lol
