Almost every time I go into a topic with pictures there is always a post floating around somewhere in the middle of the post with the pictures. It happens at least once on every page with pictures. Is there something I can do about this?

Change your skin... to IP.Board Classic Blue (Import)... bottom left of your screen in the "dropdown" skins option.

So far it works. Just have to switch to it when I check out photo posts. Thanks.

Excuse me, but I'm not really sure why that comment was necessary. I happen to have a hard time looking at a mostly white screen for any long amount of time due to sensitive eyes and migraine headaches, so I prefer the midnight setting.

If you could supply a screen shot of this it would be appreciated, as I'm having a hard time duplicating this. Also, what browser & operating system are you using?

scroll down to the bottom of this screen there will be 2 parts one with the theme this is what to change and a language usa english is what I use!

I am so sorry!

Tolak, I'm not sure, I don't really know computers that well, and this isn't my computer. I have the skin set as Midnight glow, it only happens when I go into a topic with pictures, the post right below the post containing pictures is usually covering a one of the pictures, and where it's supposed to be is just blank background. Once I highlighted the floating post and it popped back into place, but it never worked again. It's not a huge thing, I just hoped there was a way to stop it.

Ludwig, don't worry about, we're cool.

The Common Snapping Turtle (Chelydra serpentina) is a large freshwater turtle of the family Chelydridae. Its natural range extends from southeastern Canada south, west to the Rocky Mountains (and beyond, where introduced), throughout Mexico, and as far south as Ecuador. This species and the larger Alligator Snapping Turtle are both widely referred to as snapping turtles or snappers (though the Common Snapping Turtle, as its name implies, is much more widespread overall). The Snapping Turtle is the largest freshwater turtle in the western United States.

I use midnight glow as well, and I don't get any of these problems. Perhaps it is your Internet Browser.

I have had this issue before. Do you find that in some threads that are heavy with pictures, it just seems to get all out of structure? I often find just refreshing the page helps, then leave the page to load fully before you start scrolling up and down the thread.

Out of interest, what browser and version do you use? (Help>about will help you find the version)

One of the things that really really bugs me is the file sizes and dimenstions of images people load. This causes some of the images to be rendered differently by the forum and causes some of the problems in my eyes. The pinned topic HERE by the forum owner recommends sizes etc. Now I will admit that the odd image of mine has flipped over the 50K mar to the 70's but there are some images on here that look likey they have been downloaded straight from an SLR camera and uploaded. This just slows down the whole experience of browsing the forum. I would personally be happy for people to link to larger images form smaller ones on the forum if they want to show it in all its glory, but make it an option, not a pain for browsing.

I think that is one area that is not being policed that much, but is one of the things that annoys me and can affect the problem this member is having. The auto resizing of images causes the page to reformat and have the odd error now and then. This problem only relly happens for me in this picture heavy threads. I can ignore daft people with daft comments if I wish to, but I cannot ignore big images when trying to read a thread.

Posting massive images is often just being lazy. There are pinned threads to help people know how to deal with this.

Cheers,
Squid

Yeah, it's just with pic posts, but not always heavy ones, although I just posted on a pic heavy one where someone wanted their fish id, and after I posted it sent my post way way way down below the entire topic, I mean like almost a foot below the whole reply quote buttons, and I've went back to read it again and it's still down there...

Where is the help>about thing? All I know about this computer is it's windows XP, we use AOL. I really wish I knew more about this kind of crap lol...
