Hello. I am interested in getting some more floating plants for my 29 gallon. I'm looking for some suggestions :) I currently have water sprite and a few small unidentified floating plants from my LFS today. I will post pics of them tomorrow. Any ideas are welcome :)

I've heard about water lettuce as a good plant but will that be ok in a 29 gallon with a lid? Is it better as a pond plant?

Don't bother with more floating plants because the Water Sprite will cover the tank.

Water Lettuce rots under coverglass and need really bright light.

thanks! Sorry, I forgot to mention, I plan on moving the water sprite to my 10 gallon Betta tank and I was thinking about getting something like red root floaters or another unique type of floating plant for this tank :)

Here are the plants my LFS gave me the other day. I'm not sure what kind they are. 2020-12-30 19.20.03.jpg2020-12-30 19.21.40.jpg

I’m located in Oklahoma and I have a TON of red root floaters that I need to get rid of but I don’t wanna go through the hassle of selling them on eBay or anything, and I hate to just throw them away when there’s people out there that would use them.

Oh my gosh they are gourgeous! I wish I lived closer. I would totally buy some. The ones on EBay are expensive. I saw one ad that cost $25 plus $8 in shipping for 6 individual Red root floaters

I know it’s ridiculous that’s how I got mine. Not trying to undercut people’s business on eBay but I’ll gladly give them to anyone for free because I love them and I’m proud of my success lol

I’ve even been considering starting a legit goldfish tank just so I can feed them excess plants from my tank so nothing goes to waste lol

I found some on EBay a pack of 24 for $10. It has great reviews so I think I'll order them. Are there any special requirements like Co2 I need for them? Thanks!

No not really. I use two clip on desk lamps with medium intensity led bulbs on my tank and I dose liquid fertilizers but they’ll do fine without it
