, probably, I was going to ask does anybody feed there fish sproats as I've never tryed them, probably wouldn't need an airstone on afterwards if they do fart.

Do you mean sprouts? I was thinking of getting air stones. I saw air stones in all different colours in LFS, I can'y help thinking this would be harmful?

Fish will eat sprouts. An airstone won'y harm anything (well it may be a hindrance to plants but not a major one) - deffinately good for fish. I doubt fish fart - where'd they get the gas from? BUT, bubbles can occasionaly come out of gravel or from the fish' gills if it eats something at the surface and swallows air - So I suppose they burp.

Well my boyfriend informed me today that Herring communicate by farting. So yeah fish fart too!
