you know when the betta flares its gills all come out and stuff?? and when it calms down it closes and then it's normal again... what happens if one side of the gills are like half closed and not fully closed? whats this mean?

could be a deformity, or he injured himself and couldn't open the other gill i dont' know of any betta behavior that would only open one side and not the other though

or maybe he's too tired to close it fullyy?
