the discription says it all. i am working on breeding my bettas and the male is following the female around flaring. he hasn't attacked her and she is like ignoring him i tseems. is that normal or is it a sign of aggression?

Yes that does happen. Ok since she doesnt seem to be interested see near her anal hole if she has a black dot if not take her out or she could just generally not like the male. Is there a bubble nest yet??

My male wouldnt entertain my female for the first night that she was in the tank with him! Then when I awoke the female was under the nest and they had started to spawn! On my first attempt the male and female shared the tank for over 48 hours before spawning! I had initially tried to keep them serpate so they could see one and other but I only had her in a breeding trap and she kept leaping out so just left them to it! When I was going to remove the female they had spawned for me!

Hope it goes well for you! Good luck
