Hey the Sevs are week 4 in their new house... They love it.. YAY!

BTW: Missyintx_99: THANK YOU for the suggestion of not feeding every other day.. I'm feeding the Sev's every day in smaller amounts and the aggression level has dropped dramatically. They actually like each other. (Except when it comes to baby peas. They still will fight over those.. LOL)

Okay, here's the questions............ SMB ---- HELP! :p

I'm into week four with this new tank. Should I still continue to put all that Biozyme in every week? When do I stop that?

Also, the Severums are to the point to where all they want is freeze-dried blood worms. I crush the pellets for them and make sure they are the size they like.. but they are beginning to shy away from the pellets in favor of the blood worms.

Any ideas on the food???? I don't want them totally on dried blood worms if that is deficient to their diet...

I have plastic (OMG PLASTIC PLANTS) in my tank. I also have one long strip light on the tank. Everyone tells me that real plants won't live unless I UP the lights. I can tell you right now that the Sev's HATE bright lights like that. So should I stick with the plastic????? Hey, the Sev's like their home and they definitely would NOT like another light stick over their heads.

BTW: I also put a batthery backup (3000 watts) on the tank. I thought it just a GEEK-OUT thing... BUT... the lights went out yesterday and YAY, the tank heater and filter continued over over 1/2 hour until the lights came on.. I'm sold on my GEEK idea....

So, I hope you all have some food ideas......... and also some comment about the biozyme!

THANKS,
BrYaN

don't know about he biozyme, how often are you feeding them the blood worm? I only feed my fish blood worm once or twice a week tops. their main diet is of flake and pellet food

I feed Omega One pellets to my Oscars, and they love 'em. They have octupus, krill, and whole salmon plus other stuff as ingredients. Omega One also has flakes.

Thank you both for your comments. I realize that Severums are boring to most people, but I think they are brilliant in their color and in the personalities as well. They are most intelligent, I have found, and they really are special.

hey they don't bother me... I have actually thought of getting a few in the past.. but hey at least you are in the right family of fish......CICHLIDS ROCK!!!!!
